Discover personal stories, challenges and responses to the climate crisis in countries across the “Global South” through the lens of photography and film.
Curated by Scotland’s International Development Alliance, its members and their partners, Facing the Crisis explores the theme of Climate Justice and shows how the climate crisis often has the most severe impact on the lives and livelihoods of people who have done the least to cause it, particularly in lower income countries.
Each image tells its own story of the human costs and resilience of people around the world. Please take your time, share images using #FacingTheCrisis, and enjoy!
As you journey through Facing the Crisis, be inspired to learn more, advocate for climate justice and take action on climate ahead of the historic UN climate negotiations (COP26) coming to Glasgow in November 2021.
